I found a Sigma 24mm Macro lens in my bag, and shot some face. It does wonders.

I woke up this morning, opened my door, went to the kitchen, ate some coco pops. Then i made my way to the telly, watched some ninja warrior. Went back to my room while walking at a slow pace opened my door and i said #### you im gonna win this blog.

The one with the Stones is shot by Jandre Coetzee when he stole my camera as i tried to surf with my broken foot. It was painful yet gave me joy. I had to sneak this surf in so i used my mates suit, board and fin. Yes singular fin. Was snaked major by the stand up's as they saw the opportunity to beat a cripple down. I managed to catch like 4 waves which were really bad but so worth it. That liquid motion of water racing past my face was epic. Boooom

Spring Comp ( Camps Bay )

Went to shoot photos of the spring tide comp. Was were 1ft and crancking. Yeah not so great, so shooting peoples faces were more fun.

The bodyboarding was quite tight with most of the boland team making finals. Let me credit Matt Lombard Melt Hugo your spins make me you know what and William Ferreira for taking the day I think.

Some oke called Sacha Specker was there too. SA champ for pro and dk division, he surfed and booged like the pro he is. He managed to bust a perfect ARS in these conditions, but i am not going to upload any pics of him simply because he deserves better, and i didnt take any cause i was sleeping.

Sex on the beach

Today, first day in 4 weeks and 3 days that I touch sea water and catch a wave. Yes thank you, might have looked like i just started bodyboarding but oh was it fun.

Shot some weird photos today aswell as the little kids trying my camera too. Turned out to be jolly good fun.
Was 1-2ft but with some nice offshore winds and super colour around the mountain to end it off with a delicious cider that i shared with an underage. Ha.

Ended up going for a little mission after school to caves. Super super good day, hot and sunny nice betties and the beach.

Light was super bad the whole day as the sun screwed up everything but then came magic hour at around 19:30. Magic shit sun and water does.

Got some very dark surf shots and crazy sunsets.

Today this day I awoke at 6am to go with some of the Surfers boys to shoot them at some local waves.

Driving around for a bit we ended up at al good faithful caves.

Stayed there for about 6 hours basking in the sun and taking weird photo's. Until a crocodile ate my friend!!!! WHAT THE FUCK.
I kid i kid just getting ATTENTION.

So shot some boys riding the boog and ill post that here.

6:30 am

The fateful day

It started as a fun mission to a little reef break a few minutes from home, ended as 6 weeks out the water.

19th September 9am on the way to the reef with my mom, friends Kyle and Matt join aswell. (There blog can be found at www.manarise.blogspot.com)

We surf till about 2pm. The wave was a bit disappointing to be honest, not breaking inside so you couldnt really get a boul, but a few came through. Sitting on the rocks watching mates surf i ponder about life, how sick SA champs will be the following and and so on.
While sitting there i meet a bearded bodyboarder that claims to be a history teacher and he tells me about the soweto uprising of 1976 which im not really interessed in.

This oke (The word oke means "Guy or Friend") ends up giving us a bit of a lift from this reef as none of our parents would pick us up. So we hike home which takes us a little more than an hour.

Now the good shit starts!

PARTY TIME

The entire week we have been frothing this party. Johno Mellish And Tom Pepler throwing a bloc party.

Get there at 9pm, skip a few hours im all good. Had a bit of the moon shine, so amped for anything.

Long story short my mate ends up throwing me off a wall and i break my foot only finding out the next morning.

That was 20 September. I can only booger again 2nd November. Ive Stared doing crack coccain to cope. Its going well!

Spot the cripple, fml

Wet soggy pits

No waves = find some land fun  
Just a little mission up to Stellenbosch a few weeks back found ourself's in some mystical forest, where the bmx riders built themselfs some mad ramps and foam pits. So you we put our bodies on the line launching into these soggy pits, some with skateboards and some with just prone body. Bloody fun i tell you!
